Week 9- Sofa Inspiration Photos:

I selected these photos because I wanted to keep the sofa in line with the same ideals as the entertainment center. I will try to integrate clean lines, low horizontal orientation, and a retro or contemporary feeling.
Week 10: Sketches

After studying my inspiration photos I decided to create a loveseat that is a version of the chair from my grandmother’s house. Here are the sketches I came up with:

Week 14: Final Project – The Duncan Loveseat
Here is a rendered view of my final product. I am calling the loveseat The Duncan Loveseat after my grandmother’s maiden name, because her chair was the inspiration for the loveseat. It is suppose to be a rather structured and formal loveseat with horizontal/clean lines and a retro feel. It has a firm but comfortable seat and is perfect for any sitting area. I used the blue chenille quilted cloth to give the structured lines of the loveseat a softer more inviting feel. I really enjoyed this project and hope you enjoy seeing the process! And Happy Holidays to everyone!
